am I the only one reading the interview and other press clips about his injury thinking he seems undecided about retiring and no one(medical people) have actually said his sight over time cannot improve? he is saying during the day it was ok the problem came under lights and night matches...

dont know who is keeping at Somerset but now Butler is at Lancashire there could be a way back for him. It's a real shame what happened and you feel for the guy.

A huge shame. It was cool to see him over here in Oz for the BBL. I hope he had a sizeable insurance policy. This has no doubt cost him millions.

I think what he has said is that he can still play but not to the level he was at or the level he would aspire to. Chances are he will be on an expensive club contract for a fair few years. Imagine him batting in a Prem team it could be fireworks!
