Hey Warner, missing one of your bats, mate?
« on: July 06, 2015, 08:52:00 AM »

Hi fellow forumites, a couple of months ago I was chatting to the guys at Chappells and asked if they could arrange for Stuart at GN to make a bat for me. He has made a couple of Legends for me a few years ago and is a genuine nice guy! Around 2 weeks ago, Chappells rang and said that they had emailed Stuart and he had replied saying he could help me out. Long story short, they asked me what specs I had for the bat and I simply said, "get me one of Warners bats!"
Well, this is what I picked up today:
- 2.13 finished with two grips.
- 55mm edges with only a little concaving.
- beautiful oval handle and it picks up like its 2.10 at the most!

Sorry for the poor quality of pics!

Is that just the "Warner profile" rather than one of his bats? I'm sure I've seen somewhere that he uses a lighter bat

I'll put up a pic of the profile in a minute. This bat was made as an exact copy of one of his bats: profile, weight, everything. Whether or not it is exact, I'll never know as I don't think it's likely I'll be in the same dressing shed as him any time soon.  :)

Pic of the profile
Apparently Warners bats are 2.12 but mine has an extra grip on as he has tiny hands. Spine is around 75mm's!

Looks massive but is the toe meant to be a lot bigger one side that the other?

Guys,

I can promise you they are at least 2.11, tiny tiny tiny handles and enourmous, however no more powerful then bats half the size!

the toe is even, must just be the angle I took the pic at.

thanks Alex, I didn't ever actually make any comment on how this bat will launch nothing but 150 meter "6"'s and am very aware of the physics of a cricket bat!  :)
