I laughed myself a stitch when Clarke was out. I put it down to the pain of watching England in the 90s.

Unlucky way to get out for bairstow!

Hazlewood has been pretty poor all series after being touted as the next McGrath

Lazy shot from Bairstow but looked in good touch today.

I still think the Aussies may have chosen to bowl here today had Clarke won the toss. "We are a batting side"

Scene set for Stokes, Buttler and Ali to blaze quick runs (not that they need to be quick... in fact it would be more astute to keep the Aussies in the field as long as possible) tomorrow and extend the England lead beyond 300

Joe Root, much like Broad and Anderson, feasting on home pitches. 7 hundreds at home and only 1 away. World class? Only for you delusional Poms.

Bairstow what a useless loser. Can't even score a gift wrapped hundred when it's there on a plate.

Ashes gone but they'll be regained in 18 months.

One bad performance has sent the Aussies into suicidal mode.

Lucky that England fans are made of stronger stuff, otherwise there wouldn't be any.

Steve Smith still doing the tango at the crease.

Was only going to end up in one result.

Clarke resigns at the end of this test match. Smith new captain.

I think this will be announced as the farewell tour.

Squad to be:

Warner
Rogers (one last hoorah)
Smith (c)
Marsh (maybe Clarke)
Marsh
Watson (one last hoorah)
Haddin (one last hoorah)
Siddle (one last hoorah)
Johnson (one last English hoorah)
Starc
Lyon

Clarke average mid 30s in England if I was to hazard a guess.

Smith averages over 40

Siddle is 31, he'll still be around for another 2/3 years.
Hopefully Sam Whiteman gets the gig as w/k for the home summer.
Faulkner should be the all rounder.

Still scored more than the entire Australian side though, didn't he?  :D
