Root got more runs in less innings.

He also stood out more than Rogers because he has taken most outfield catches and bowled too, so always seems to be in the game.

And that extra innings was when he retired on 49
I'm not saying Root isn't the better batsman cause he is but Rogers did score almost as many runs, and would have been more if he didn't retire

Root is a super player, yes its easier batting down the order when theres not so much movement but you still have to score the runs.
Dont know about anyone else but root seemed to get more easier balls to score off than the others.that is probably an illusion as he is playing so well.
As for Rogers,he is very un australian in his outlook and batting and an absolute credit to the aussies.
Superb player and gets in a fights thru tough periods
If australia had a few more like him they would of won because their bowlers would of had runs behind them to put us under pressure.

I suspect that was because the Aussies have much stronger bowling plans to the other batsman. Root doesn't seem to have a weak area they can concentrate their efforts.

Bit preemptive yet  :D. Don't know if anyone was watching today but I think it was Scivers wicket, the LBW decision was one of the worst I've ever seen! The ball pitched outside off and hit her playing fairly far forward attempting a sweep impacting outside the leg stump and it was given!
