Its ok fella - I don't think they are having a go. Just merely not to raise the crude subject of money!
To be honest, I would never like to even begin to add it up as I'd go mad!!

Seriously yes - I do seem to have acquired a rather tasty cllection of bats. And every time I go through them there are so many top notch bats that I may open a bat museum!  ;)

I have been a bit 'lazy' with keeping the collection photographed over Summer, but my excuse is that I'll get more reviewed off season! I will be netting next week and will review at least 2 or 3 of the bats then. So photos and mini-reviews will start again!  8)

Okay, I'll leave that part of the conversation right there.

To say I'm envious would be an understatement but perhaps also releaved I don't have to try and pick one to play with. I find it difficult enough with what I've got :)

look forward to the reviews...

I see the cricket forum police are out in full force again...  :(

You’re making it seem like I’m trying to make petehosk feel guilty about his collection?! Pete if that’s the impression I’ve given YOU then please be assured that’s not my intention.

You have a truly amazing collection and my curiosity about its value is mostly rhetorical. I’ve never come across anyone with such an extensive collection and it is natural (for me at least) to wonder about its value. But that’s not all I’m curious about. I do appreciate you sharing it...

I'm afraid we live in a world where material value is more important to more people than ever before. No one was having a go at you, no 'forum police' as you claim. Pete has possibly the best collection of bats in the world and we are incredibly fortunate that he is couteous enough to share them with us. His generosity extends beyond pictures though, he has helped forum members out many times in many different ways.

No doubt Pete is in a fortunate position in life where he can afford such things, but he will have worked hard to buy every one. He could very easily hark on about how much they cost or how his collection is worth more than most people's cars, but he doesn't. Ever.

I think Pete and I come from an age where discussing money is considered a little vulgar. I'm guessing you are younger, so you consider it less so. But let us not cloud the issue. Enjoy the collection, dream and aspire to be able to have a collection of your own one day. :)

Neither Petes generosity nor the means to afford this collection was ever in question.
I get the feeling too much has been read into a simple and innocent question.

But one thing we’re all agreed on. Let’s move on!

Like I said, you're a better man than me for being able to choose from those. I'd spend all season arranging which bat I'll use for which game. haha.. sad I know.  :D

Just an observation but what a huge contrast between earlier bats with lower middles and smaller edges. I love the profile of the M&H (I think) Solution!

I have lots and lots still to add so I would imagine I should be able to add 2 per week and still have a few to review in February or march!

Hello Pete,

I noticed on ebay you have your puma iridium 6000 gtr on sale from your huge collection. It's supposed to be a quality bat and one I always wanted in my tiny collection but can I ask how old it is, where you got it from (if you can remember) and how it compares to something like a h4l. I have a 666 with Hattori stickers which I bought off maverick last year and it's my favourite bat but am wondering if a branded puma bat can compare in terms of aesthetics and performance. Thank you...

Yep - 6000GTR and plays beautifully.
I think it was 2010...and can't remember where I purchased it!
These bats do play extremely well - has a superb sweet spot too!!
I have a stonker of a H4L Hattori and the H4L is a better 'pinger' but the Puma is such a great touch players bat! Time it and it goes like a train!
It's hard to say, as a bat is a very personal and individual thing really, but I did question myself several times whether I should sell it or not, but I am trying to be ruthless and finally sell a few! So it had to go.  :(

Hi Pete,
If you have any good 2 lb 8 bats with mid middles and minimal co caving I would be interested in taking one off your hands
