The mediocre Alastair Cook trying to bag a cheap hundred to boost his ego a little further. Shame that he's gone missing in the last 3 Ashes series. Probably down to the fact the likes of Bollinger and Hilfenhaus haven't been there to feed him easy runs.

Yeah, a cheap hundred against the powder puff Aussie attack

If this was the last Test for Bell he's luckily managed to end up with an average of 43. Most of his career has been about feasting on the lesser sides like India and Sri Lanka in English conditions. Never had any mental strength.

Hundred is irrelevant when scored when the match is gone.

Match is gone? England only need to bat until the rain comes in tomorrow lunch time... very much on the line IMO

England's leading run scorer
Most test hundreds for England
Won 2 Ashes series as captain
Been in 4 Ashes winning sides

Yeah, incredibly mediocre...

Who cares about being England's leading run scorer? Or century scorer? Talentless.

At the end of the day, England have won the ashes despite starting as underdogs. It's probably difficult to stay focused with series win in the bag, and aussies had a point to prove. Aussies may win this test but going home empty handed!

What a wonderful statement that is!
If it takes no talent to score 9,245 test runs at an average of over 46, with 27 hundreds and 43 fifties (correct as at 8th August 2015) when did you make your international debut? And what's your record like?
Easy game sat behind a keyboard...

A century is a century and should be applauded. In saying that he hasn't got there yet but he's really grinding it out.
