Yes and they couldn't wrap the match up even when they catch the ball off the helmet grill which the fielder would have been fully aware of and know it is not out but did they call Bairstow back of course not much the same as when cook was caught with the  ball in the sweater for me that's just not cricket.
Still let them enjoy winning a consolation test while the England team celebrate winning the Ashes.

Home ground advantage... ;)

I rest easy on the fact we have the Rugby WC, Bledisloe Cup, Rugby League WC (Basically been owning your league team for a while now). You keep the Netball WC mate, the teams involved in that are worse than the league.

I'm pretty happy with how little old NZ goes on the world stage.

To win a world cup you need to play anyone, anywhere at anytime even if they have homeground advantage. That's Australias first wc on home ground

Just doing what broad taught us last time we were in England seniorplayer. Even if you slap it to second slip just stand there and let the umpires decide. Why didn't they review it? We haven't wrapped the match up because your batsmen are digging in and doing well.

The replays were inconclusive at best. And doing a bit of research, Bairstow was dismissed once when caught by Gambhir, off the grill, back in 2012. There was a bit of controversy surrounding that. Bairstow had the best seat in the house on this occasion and if that DID hit the grill, he would have known better this time around and said something.

Bit like England celebrating when we won a single dead rubber for years. 2 decent tracks, 2 aus wins.. 3  v v v v helpful tracks, eng win.. Still, aus have played poorly in those three games and eng bowled well.

Watching Bairstows  reaction when he saw the replay on the dressing room balcony  pretty  certian he didnt realize till then he had been caught off the helmet grill unlike the Aussie who caught it.

No sorry if what i wrote was not clear the ball hit the short leg fielders grill taking the sting out  and dropped into the fielders hands.

I came off the field yesterday due to rain and read the furore surrounding that on Twitter and on the be text app.


I then watched the highlights on sky at 8 and personally thought it was a non incident.
It brushed the grill slightly. Voges may well have known. But Bairstow and the umps were non the wiser and and in the heat of the moment and excitement who knows weather voges forgot that rules or decided to forget that rule!

It really didn't cannon off it obviously imo
