Best cup - protection
« on: August 28, 2015, 01:35:42 PM »

I use GM cup..it looks sturdy. The other day I was hit in the nuts ....it was pain full. Just wondering if there is something that would provide absolute protection.

The box is essentially a soap dish with some padding so it doesn't dig in, it's never going to provide 100% protection!

It's crazy to think all the advancements there have been in protective equipment over the years that the bit to protect your thinking apparatus is still nothing more than a badly shaped bit of plastic...

I am not sure if Titan Alloy cup is better than Ultra Carbon cup! Carbon cup seems to have an extra layer ..may be less shock.

I wear both shock doctor shorts and cup but I've never been totally happy with the fit. Too narrow and the rubber sticks like glue while inserting it.

Much happier with Aero shorts and cup. The quicks I face are not pro level but I've never had a problem. Had to shake them a few times but that's it.

Getting the Shock doctor in and out is a nightmare, I just leave it in my jockstrap the whole time, is a different level of protection of you do take one amidships though.

Maybe we should encourage Ayrtek to develop A.C.I.S for our thinking equipment.
