Your first century bat
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:55:52 PM »

Lets list out some details of the bat that you used to score your first century. I have not scored one TBH but have scored few half centuries using my Blank bat. It was the B2 shaped G1 willow. 2-10 with great pickup and one of the best pinging bats i have ever had. That was one bat i had all the confidence that even a miss hit will travel for a six.
pic of the bat when it was brand new

Kookaburra can't remember the model but it had blue stickers. My other 2 were both with a old Richard Wensley warrior bat - huge weapon!

2'9 Gray Nics Oblivion Carbo back in 2013. Scored heaps of runs with it, 1200 odd with 5 tons. I was never really convinced by it's performance but it's pick up, weight and balance was clearly perfect for me. It started to delaminate so I bought a Newbery Mjolnir which I barely scored a run with so I returned to the GN, scored another ton but then blew my knee out. Treated myself to an Aldred Gold Sovereign as a get well soon present, currently it's on 720 odd runs this year but no tons yet. Hoping to bag a couple in the coming weeks to get me up past a 1000 runs for the season. It's performance is significantly better than the GN but I get the feeling it's slightly too heavy for me.

Absolute Weapon. Shame the handle fell out of it, the replacement handle was never the same.......
