I think if England bat that long they wont bowl Anderson Broad or Wood much as will save them for next test so this will filter out into a cure for insomnia very quickly

Cook may even break out the Bob Willis impression

I wasn't being serious, but so far England have done all they can.

i'm a batsman and have to say I think these wickets are only harming test cricket. Yes you would want Pakistan playing a part in world cricket same as everyone else......but it's boring and does nothing for the game..

much prefer it when the game is tipped to the bowler, that way when you score runs it matters.

Look at players averages these days. Add 5 points on as the wickets are so flat.

This one is just a motorway, no one is getting out unless they get tired. Good for the game??

it is the way now as boards want 5 days of cricket so they get gate receipts

not here as ground empty but that's what most do as they can make more dosh like that

sadly you are right, generally they want advertising,tv etc to have maximum exposure. In this match there's not many fans actually watching and I doubt there will be at the other venues.

Raja is saying on BBC text the other wickets will be exactly like this one....

I like TEST cricket not when its weighted too far either way

there should be a contest, its not so bad in ODI and t") is designed for batsmen but tests should be a test not just 500 plays 500

RR at 2.7 on a slow low pitch with nothing to offer, not the greatest to create exciting viewing even if Cook is batting like a star

I'm happy to listen and not watch when it is like this! If it was more competitive then I would be gutted that I could only listen!!
But let's not write this match off just yet!! Only day 3 so anything can happen!!

Bell should have filled his boots here. Silly shot 15 mins before the close of play.

Better he got an ugly 60 than his standard 10-20 then out.

I'll give any player some slack after batting all day in 38 degree heat and playing a loose shot.  Probably his first attacking shot for 10 overs as well...

The low scoring rate wouldn't have been the case if we'd batted first.  With Bell out, we lost another quickly and that could easily have been a frontline batsman.  Then your 3 or 4 down with almost 300 runs behind.  They're trying to strangle the game and in that heat and with that total from Pakistan first up, I don't blame them...

I agree it's not good for the spectator though, but in a 3 game series you don't want to be one down first up...
