No was just wondering if you went! Curran brothers were fantastic, great day apart from the result, but Div 1!!!!!

will be interesting to see how a lot of Surrey's young lads (and Mark Footitt) do in the top division next year - the two Curran's, Roy, Burns, Ansari, Sibley, Davies, Foakes, Dunn.  Some, I suspect, will be found out, whereas some might surprise a few people.

The one with the topknot (Tom?) Will do just fine in div 1, younger Curran will find it a lot harder next season I suspect. Hopefully Footit makes good use of the move up divisions to earn himself an England chance. I worry for the standard of quick bowling in div 2, with Surrey promoted, Mills not playing first class and Footit and Fuller moving to div 1 clubs, is there anyone even close to genuinely quick left in the entire division?

Looking forward to today in the test match, hopefully Taylor can play us into a lead and also really nail down his space in the team.

Double bugger.
We need to be careful here as a 4th innings chase is not gonna be easy. Need to put another 60-100 on and still bowl them out cheaply to win.

Any chase over 150 will be hard work!

Rumours abound that Stokes will bat so could still be batting to come even after these two. Test match in the balance!

Reading into the wording of the statement I don't think Stokes will bat unless it's a less than 20 to win in the final innings sort of a job.

Sounded a little ambiguous, TV has shown him sitting not padded up now so he's clearly not going to bat in the first innings by the looks of things.

Big samit giving the selectors something to think about
Bowled well in the first innings, handy knock too
Are we sure we will dump both him and rashid for SA?

Well, he's unlikely to get a batting spot, and his bowling included far too many full bungers for a finger spinner.  Moeen will, however fortunately, keep his spot I reckon.

I think thats probabaly not a bad assessment - Tom looks a reasonable bowler, Sam one who will be good in two or three years time - though the step up in class will still be a big challenge for both.  As for the Division 2 issue, Sussex look pretty well stocked, with Magoffin, Jordan, Hatchett, Anyon and Robinson, though none of them are serious gas at the top professional level.  Other than  that...Worcestershire let Graham Cessford go, there's a lad called (I think) Penhryn-Jones at Glamorgan who looked pretty sharp the one time I saw him...nope thats all I have.
