Well, he's unlikely to get a batting spot, and his bowling included far too many full bungers for a finger spinner.  Moeen will, however fortunately, keep his spot I reckon.
So they will opt for the guy scoring less runs and going for more runs for no more wickets.. Interesting theory selectors

why cant they just pick whoever is the best spinner?

we went through this crap in the 90's for those who remember. Picking bits and pieces cricketers because he could bat a bit or bowl a bit

decide who the best spinner is and pick him

toss up between ali and Rashid for me but id prob give Rashid a run to see what he can do as ali has had a run but does not seem to be getting better

@Manormanic Sussex is a fair point, realised after id posted that they got relgated.Jordan can bowl some decent place. Do they still have Shahzad? Had forgotten about Penrhyn Jones, possibly because although he's got a yard of pace he looked absolutely dire against glos last game of the season, tailenders smashing him everywhere.

Ohballs. Well bowled Yasir. Burnley Lara to the rescue,

Time for some good old fashioned bottom hand batting then. Most likely Broad will throw the bat and Stokes block?
