I played in a game a lomg time ago where I dropped the same batsman 3 times in the same fielding position off three different bowlers.

I didn't realise I'd broken my thumb until the 3rd one went down.

Sorry, think it's 4 times actually lol

98* v Marlow park, I was skipper and declared thanks to my ever so helpful team mates not bothering to even hint I was close to a ton.

98* for Bramhope in the wetherby league. Last over and I wanted to take every run for the team. Non striker suggested playing for myself. I smacked one down the ground and he didn't run, fielder misfielded and we could of walked 2. Next 3 balls were pretty close to Yorkers and I ran out of time as it was the last over.

98* against NPL Teddington. Chasing 170 I came in at 50-3 and got off to a flyer, hitting 14 off my first 5 balls. Carried on like that and we had no batting. Won by 2 wickets and ran out of runs. Probably as close I have got to a flawless innings.

98* for Bramhope in the wetherby, last over the other guy was on strike and didn't think to rotate it seeing how he was about 5* and the other guy was on 98*. Flapped a bit but he faced all six balls for nothing.

Combination of unhelpful team mates, running out of overs in a 45 over league and reaching the target.

Was also stumped on 96 once, playing for the team and nobody gave me a hint I was close that time either.

You know Nick, I thought you seemed a nice bloke, but maybe your teammates are trying to tell you something by never letting you know you're close lol  ;)

I think they either over think it or don't think at all. I'm not a fan of not telling somebody they are in their 90s. I think they earned the right to know and poke a few singles to get to 3 figures, as long as it isn't slowing the team down. When you are seeing the ball that well and in full flow you don't change how you bat but you might avoid anything too unnecessary (ie. stay in your crease, maybe work the ball around instead of trying to clear the 4 deep fielders). That said, some of the cricket was brainless and when you bat with a guy on 90 odd you listen to what he says and play for him. On 2 of the occasions they didn't.

I've never been on the losing side if I've taken a 4-fer (or better)

For the last 3 seasons, in all cricket I have played, I have not failed to get off the mark if I survived my first ball.
