No idea but these are the kind of 'secrets' that aren't needed. Just be upfront ad honest as no one really cares. People are its interested to know

I have seen the machinery being used to make bats there as well, hence why I asked about who's actually visited to witness first hand and prove me wrong. I agree, accusations are flying around with insufficient evidence imho!

Evidence can be hard to come by, no one reveals all about there goods, some will be more open, mongoose, county will admit to using ss, others won't but many will know in the industry through other channels and this gets shared about.

Anyway, millichamp may well not be having there bats made by ss, but someone in England certainly is importing them.

Ohhh no this is too much fun... Mark Wood only gets 4 bats for the UAE tour from his sponsors the poor chap - Jimmy gets 10! Don't really trust it though tbh, already found some that blatantly aren't true...

Interesting... 50 a go? Not worth it, surely. Also M&H don't make the Amplus any more since modernising all the shapes and names. No mention of any of their current range, or of any other M&H bats bar that one CK22. Doesn't add up.

that could just be an overseas retailer shipping here.

The Amplus is much more of an issue and will be investigated very seriously this end.

Thanks, Chris, for bringing this to our attention!

Yes your right I made that entire website myself from scratch just for........

The exact contents or name may not always be put on the shipping manifest(a company may request they not to due to pesky forum members). Lots may be merely under a non descript name "cricket bat English willow sharp 11"

Check the dates, beginning of 2015 they shipped, when was it called the amplus and when did it switch to mh09?

Someone inported a 100 amplus shaped non finished cricket bats at the beginning of 2015, they may well be fakes. Who knows.
How many do we reckon millichamp sell a year?

Personally I thought ijc should know as if there being lied to. It's not the way to do business.

Can't comment on the M&H but when i search for a few other brands and knowing what I do know for a fact (not rumors or hearsay) about those brands the information is correct for those on the site.

100 Amplus * £69 = £6900 cost before shipping? - if they go for £350 each then that's £35,000 or £28,100 gross profit (before stickers and grips, wages, light). If they sell that in similar volumes across the range and then double it for juniors then it's 200k gross profit on bats before softs/clubwear/repairs etc etc. They don't need huge volumes at the prices charged, assuming a fairly compact setup.

They won't be selling them for £350 a go though, most of them would be heading for retail at a trade price of considerably less. Add on the shipping costs too.

Smilley - not suggesting you're making it up of course, just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense! No other models coming up in searches, and outsourcing for the sake of 100 pieces doesn't seem likely if they're making all the other bats in house. Changed to MHXX at the end of 2014 iirc? Certainly before 2015.
Be interested to see where this leads as I'll admit to wondering why the shaping of some of their bats changed so dramatically - out went the trademark rounded edges/faces and in came squarer and whiter bats.
