I don't like what M&H are allegedly doing, obviously. But is it really any different to the whole (nod, wink) 'TK made' thing?

And, actually, I don't think Gray Nicolls are as transparent as some have suggested.

@Bats_Entertainment - GN are fairly transparent IMO, there's nothing misleading anyway - see link below;

You been to a Lord's Test in recent years? And I'm sure there are plenty of pictures of the Robertsbridge workshop on the website?

@Tom - They don't claim to make all their bats in the UK and they openly claim that they have a factory in Jalandhar - where's the issue?

I'm confused? What's your point?

While GN never actually state their bats are 'Made in England' in as many words, they certainly like to imply that they are. I bet the majority of people that buy GN bats believe them to be made in England.

At a Lord's Test you often see a GN stand with a (white British) craftsman demonstrating how their bats are made.

If they don't state it then they aren't doing anything wrong? If people want to think that on their own then it's just very good marketing from GN - our issue is with M&H openly saying all their bats are made in their 'Taunton Workshop' when it appears this may not be the case.

At a Lord's Test you often see a GN stand with a (white British) craftsman demonstrating how their bats are made.

Would love to know what difference that makes! Lets get this thread back to IJC/M&H yeah...

It strongly implies that that bats are made in England?

The problem is M&H aren't as good at deceit as GN?

How does it?? Are they going to fly one of their Indian bat makers over just for a demo at Lords to keep you happy?

Lets lay it out;

- M&H state that they make their bats purely in the UK. It's unconfirmed at the moment, but it appears this may not be the case.

- GN state nothing and have pictures of 3 separate 'bat workshops' on their website. This would imply that bats are made at all 3 of their 'bat workshops' (UK/AUS/IND).

Who's the deceiver?

Not to play devils advocate here but before becoming a forum member I assumed that GN made their bats in the UK and that my GN Oblivion 5 Star was made in the UK.

The only thing that made me question this was when I looked up their workshop on Google maps and street view the size of the workshop seemed way too small for the amount of bats they produce.

Once upon a time their bats were all made there.
