Is that horizontal white mark half way up the bat part of the butterfly stain or a sign of storm damage? I only ask as my bubble has the same mark right across the sweet spot. Also, is it better to sand the bleached willow back before oiling or won't it make any difference.

I think a lot of people are now looking to much into storm damage after the doctor put a post up these marks on the kookaburra bats are what's known as butterfly stain and are very unlikely to break I sanded mine back so I could see the stain more then I gave it a light oil I think you're be very surprised with the performance of these bats

I think you're right about the performance of the bat. Mine weighs 2.8 with 6 wide straight(ish) grains. I was astounded how well it tapped up on the mallet and the pick up is beautiful. I bought it with a view of using it as a net bat, but I think with a bit of TLC this could well be my match bat.

I will do. I'll have to sand it back a bit first though, as it has been bleached so much it's hard to show the grains in a picture. Anyone got the link of how to upload photos?

I also received this GN F18. It's a bit grubby in the pics but has cleaned up well with the removal of the price labels and a quick wipe with white spirit. Weighs just over 2.9.

That last photo just makes me even more sad I didn't get one!

Kookaburra bubble power £11.99
SH - 2'10, Edge 40mm,
picks up really light, good response from mallet, very soft. love the look of it, better in the flesh.

Good stuff. I'm still waiting for my 6 other bats to be delivered. Heard nothing from SD on the order processing being completed and tomorrow is technically the end day for 5 day delivery. They normally suggest 3-5 working days from purchase to delivery. Couple of team mates have already received there's on the same standard delivery two days ago.

Mine took a day to be processed, but were here Monday. Have they taken payment from you?
