I can honestly say I'm over the moon with how mine looks, and far more importantly, how it taps up.

The pick up and balance feels superb- can't wait to start netting now!

Certainly looks a cracker for a 2 stripe!

I went down to B3 the other day to discuss "the spectrum of grade 1" with Streaky.

I'm honest and open and this may cause me issue's but some of them bats people are getting may fit into the spectrum but would i be happy with some of them  NO I WOULD NOT however i suspect they play like blinders.

Live by the sword die by it is my motto they may fit into the grade spectrum but i wouldn't be happy with some of them personally.

The other issue you face is the shower syndrome unfortunately i have seen some right belters made some for forum members and some not so good so the spectrum is created.

for instance i saw Potzy bat and i have seen Canners and Josh Gurney who all look grade one and very good in the stage they where at and i also so others did not look as good grain wise but fit into the spectrum.

On the other hand i can guarantee all will play well pressing and finishing has moved so far forward from the first bats to the ones now.

My honest opinion it abit like a club shower some have bigger shower shoes and some are envious if our shower shoes are not as big.

However i'm no bat guru i'm just a kit hound and this forum is a very small part of the voucher offer and indeed the cricket industry as a whole there been so many go out of the door and the feedback on a whole has been very positive.

Thanks for your honesty mate.

Yea, agreed. The 50% non sense is atrociously stupid.

This will be my last post on this topic.

The post above go into any cricket shop see all the le or top model of bats you will not see the same bat identical time and time again they will have differences.

Look at lower Models of the bat some look better than the le but low and behold there a lower model.

Have you considered other factors playability.

I'm not gonna go round I circles o have had my say on the matter base your bat on your bat is what I'm saying stop looking in the shower to see if others are bigger.

i will not be commenting again.

If you are happy with what you get why worry about what everyone else has got I say.
I've got imperfections but my wife is happy with my performance.  ;) my mate might look better but he certainly can't perform like me.... :D

To be fair Streaky did also say at the beginning of the offer that people would have no say over cleft selection unless they came to the factory in person.

If he said that then I can see the confusion as its pure pot luck

If I was spending anything over £100 offer or not I would want a say in what type of bat I get but then again I don't specify anything on looks so I'm ok

Before ordering I would have said for this price I would expect x y z can you achieve this? if they couldn't guarantee what I was expecting I would not order

Really don't buy the 'I specified a clean face' thing. Ok, a batmaker should be aiming to satisfy their customer's requirements, but let's say I ring up Streaky and ask him for a 1 stripe with no blemishes, 15 grains and no heartwood. Wouldn't be terribly surprised when he told me to stop dreaming!

Grade 1 is a very vague grading, which is why Crown or G1+ etc bats exist. Haven't seen any with knots or anything like that that would stop them being graded as G1. They'll play well I'm sure. I've had two filthy looking butterflies from B3 that have both been guns. Also when you know B3 are clearly pumping out bats like there's no tomorrow at the moment you can't expect every single one to be cream of the crop willow!

That's supply and demand

if I say min of 19 grains and you can't do it then say and we negotiate or if I'm set on that I go elsewhere to find it

By the looks of it no one specified no. of grains or clean face but assumed they would all be like that
