Little lad finally pulled his finger owt and sorted a club to go to.
Flew out Saturday and had his first practice today
He's playing at Stratford, north island, out there until April

Thanks for all the help guys

What's his name if I may ask, I used to play in the same grade in New Plymouth. Lovely place to play when the weather is on

Yeah, I think he's really enjoyed himself, opportunity of a lifetime.
I'm sure it's bound to have helped his cricket, always nice to play with a different bunch of lads.

10 overs, none for 25, including four maidens
And 25 caught at long off batting

Peed it down yesterday for jnrs last game, so bit of a damp ending to an amazing trip for him

I'll post his season figures when he can be bothered to tell me
Roughly 35 wickets, so not too bad
He's got a coupla weeks travelling round the north island then back to Blighty just in time for the start of the season

He's had an amazing time over there, and I'm sure the experience can only have done his cricket good

Can't believe it's that time again already
Our seasons finished for most now,(I've got one friendly game Sunday left then that's it),
Jnr monkey has managed to blag another season in New Zealand
Hopefully he can build on the experience he gained last time, and be a little more prepared for the season ahead.

He flys out of Heathrow tomorrow
I will update weekly on his cricketing adventure in an amazing part of the world

Hasn't stopped raining for 3 months. I hope he brings the typical English sunshine with him.

Was in the North island 5 years ago in Sept and it poured down for 3 weeks never saw rain like it before or since
Wasn't the cold rain though like we get in the UK.

Looks like he's got a bit of financial encouragement this season too
He better pull his finger out, once it stops raining

First two games have been rained off

they have managed to strengthen the team this year, so it's a shame the first coupla games have not been played
