I don't think there's any reason to believe that to be the case.

To be honest some of the worst toe cracks I have seen have taken several goes to get properly sealed. He might of had only 24 hours with the bats. Possibly at best 2, maybe 3 goes with the glue/clamp/sand. Wasn't saying he had done a dodgy refurb at all, just the photo made the cracks look still open a touch.

I wasn't saying he had done a dodgy job either. What I was getting at was that was he's not going to say anything but it's done properly... Maybe it sounded harsh

Those edges look stupidly square!
Good for the ego, but not for mis timing a new ball.

It's also a shame no one has measured the moisture content to see just how dry they are to get that ridiculous size

2lb 13 oz's doesn't suggest it is overly dry

2.13 is still not a lot for a bat that size.
But that's the point I was trying to make, if someone could measure the moisture, it would perhaps give a clearer picture as to how you get a bat that looks so thick , there's very little concaving and the blade doesn't appear to be shorter etc.

I've an old gray nicks 3lb bat that's half the thickness of those bats

Khawaja's GN bat in tonight's BBL game doesn't look any smaller than Lynn's either.

Even in the test matches Khawaja's bats looked immense

Absolute planks I believe

He was making bats for the Sri Lankan team during the world cup, making bats for a lot of the West Indies team too. His bats must go alright.

He doesn't really "make" them (someone else glues in the handle, and presses the willow)...he just shapes what is given to him.
