After every boundary and a six, I checked the bat and it was fine. It is going strong after a season.

You should start using bigger bats then, size 6 or even a Harrow.

By the time I'd bought my custom made short handle (lacking in storm damage, but complete with warranty) from a forum sponsor I didn't have enough spare cash to buy a storm damaged M&H. Life can be such a bitch at times, can't it...
