Didn't he play in the 3 day South Africa A game and got a bit of tap (I could be wrong).
De Lange is an odd one - I remember that first test too and he looked - regardless of the numbers on the speed guns - properly rapid. Not just "it looks rapid to clubbies" but the kind of rapid that scared top pros.He has never bowled with the same pace since, at least not that I've seen. Its interesting that he seems now to be behind Steyn, Philander, Morkel, Rabada, Morris, Abbott, Viljoen and McLaren (at least) in the test pecking order.
Regardless who plays, seeing Bairstow bring his county batting form to international cricket is fantastic. Fingers crossed it continues in the odi series. It is one of my favourite things in sport seeing someone initially written off (unfairly in Bairstow's case) and smashing it. I have always preferred buttler (and still do) but no one can deny bairstow has earned his place the hard and best way.
Telegraph tweeted earlier that James Taylor is set to be dropped.
Telegraph tweeted earlier that James Taylor is set to be dropped. So harsh if true
Averaged 60 odd since the Australia series and scored a hundred in the warm up game, only seems logical to drop him...
