Days like today show why we need to find a way to fit Taylor in the side, he judges a pitch and what a good total is better than anyone else we've had for years. Gunning for massive scores is awesome and all, but a middle order player who can take charge when it's not possible is a vital part of a team that can win in all conditions! Should be Morgan's job but it's difficult to judge a pitch when you're back in the pavilion where he's spent most of this series...

On this series Morgan would be the one to make way for Taylor.

Dependant on roots back and his want to bowl, I'd drop Ali for Taylor. Put Taylor at five and move stokes and buttler down one.

You can still send buttler in early if we are on 200 odd for not many with 25 left.

I'd like Willey back in, probably jus play one of broad or woakes. Hordan can go back to county cricket.

Taylor would be pretty much my first name on the team sheet, I don't know why he gets mucked around so much, barring maybe Root he's the only batsman we have who knows how to pace a one day innings. It's all very well having a middle order who can all hit 60 ball tons but they're never gonna do it every time and when none of them come off we fall considerably short. That being said I'm not sure who to drop to get him in? Ali and move everyone down one? Flexible batting order with Buttler/Morgan at 4 if there's a platform, Taylor at 4 if not?

What WAS that shot from Morgan? He almost fell over trying to reach a ball that should have been left for dead....
