Think my bat is going into its 4th season. It's the best bat I've ever owned and it's getting more like a trampoline every match. I had some weight taken off last winter and that's really helped. Would be looking at a trip to B3 one day in the future to get it mapped and cloned! I did have a run off bats for a few years but I've not needed to change this one.

Additionally I never buy mass market brands or anything made overseas (just personal choice not a suggestion that they are of lower quality).

Unfortunately a few net sessions is all they seem to last  since joining this forum before I see something that takes my fancy

I have a 2012 - Kook Kahuna 1000 bat and have scored almost 1700 runs with that one. I finally retired that bat after scoring a century in march 2015, wanted to preserve it for sentimental reasons. Became active in cbforum soon after and rest is history ...  :D. Now i have a B3, H4L, Spartan, Hunts county custom, AS VX100 and Blank bat. If i average out the expenses and spread it over four years then i would say my spending is close to 250 GBP per year for bats.

H4L hellfire G2 was my match bat for the past 8 months, now it has been sold to a team member for a very good price. He offered almost 20 gbp more than what i purchased it for ! Used this funds to procure a GN SuperNova players from IJC.

My current bat I got off eBay for 100 quid, used it every time I have batted bar the odd occasion testing out other ones to see if I like them, and it's into its third winter of full on cricket

Last bat that I truly loved which was my. HitsHard I used for 2 full seasons every sat and Sunday and scored me 3500 runs. Used in outdoor nets but not indoor nets.
Now a days typically spend £200 -£300 on a main bat but in honesty would spend anything if I liked it.

The last 3 bats I've used for a handful of nets and an indoor game each!  :-[

I'm just waiting for my special bat I have in the pipeline to come along and then I'll use that  ;)

Lucky to have a bat last anywhere near a season at the minute, train 3 times a week with uni in winter where i try to use a net bat but have already broke 1 since christmas. During the season with weekend cricket and uni cricket might bat 4 times a week, so averaging 2 bats a season at around 200 quid a pop. I would probably prefer a bat pressed a little harder that takes a while to open up and lasts longer, than a bat that rockets from the word go but disintegrates very quickly!

The need for net bats at uni was what originally brought me to the forum (via google)! I think at one stage I was netting 3 times a week and playing two or three indoor games, and that was during the winter. Very easy to go through bats at a rate of knots. Of course, when I left and managed to persuade a company to actually pay me money, my bat collection was only going to expand...

Just got a new bat this year and been using it abit in the nets so far.

My previous Gray Nicolls bat lasted me 5 seasons, hope this one is as good to me as my old one was.

My SS is in its third year, 2000+ runs, and still going strong. I have taken it out of regular net use as I try and work in a few new bats....

You can never have enough bats as far as I am concerned.

It's a Newbery B52 SPS, that's had some weight taken off by a lad I played with and has Cadbury GT stickers. Will try and post some pictures up when I'm back as im aware this bat doesn't currently exist! 😜

I go through three bats a year fairly easily unfortunatley.

Caveat is my net bat hits at least 1000 balls a week, probably up to 1600 sometimes. My match bats play Saturday's, Sunday's and twice a week in tour or other gentlemen day games. I've racked up 1500 or more runs for the last 4 years and that's ignoring a load of the non play cricket day games where I always aim to bat most of the day.
