2016 ICC World Twenty20
« on: February 29, 2016, 10:19:54 AM »

So I thought I'd kick this thread off with England's new T20 shirt, I'll probably get it but I'm still not 100% sold on England playing in Red.

Pretty much the same as the one they've just finished with...

I don't mind red for T20s as long as the trousers aren't red too, much better with the blue ones.

9 days and counting, maybe they're planning on letting everyone in for free?

Meh.  Pleasant enough to look at but a bit safe.

Also can we all just confirm that this really is India's to lose?

England don't have a chance, but it'll be fun to maybe beat Sri Lanka and other qualifying team. Losses to Saffers and Windies.

I hate how cricket have followed football by changing their design every summer/world cup!

Adidas have gone - this is the last shirt we are making for you so have a real minger...!

Bring on some New Balance sanity, please.

Yes India should and probably will win this tournament but I kinda want Pakistan to win on Indian soil just because of the politics over there.

Indias to lose but it's biff and tickle so any team can have a good/bad day and there is little to no room for recovery

Team:

Hales
Roy
Root
Butler
Stokes
Morgan
Ali
Willey
Dawson
Rashid
Plunkett

The 1st 6 overs will be key for me. By all means attack in a positive manner especially as we bat down to number 11...
Keeping the scoreboard ticking over is very important and hopefully the players will use their feet to the spinners rather than trying to sweep or reverse sweep every spinner they face..

The batting order after Morgan at 6 will just be a case of who has been striking the ball far in practice should be next in.

Would also like Root not to feel he needs to compete against butler and stokes in hitting it out of the ground but to just play his own game playing his normal shots.

Also if the opening pair have got to 9 overs then I think butler should be next in and move Root down the order a bit.

Finally, I hope one of the bowlers has learnt to bowl a decent yorker.. But I have been saying that since Darren Gough retired.

Today's match shows this to be palpably untrue.
