Nice collection @Chad !
Which bats are your match bats?
You know, this season, I used 1.05% of my collection in matches - that's how little cricket I played!
Match bat at the moment is the older styled B&S Supreme. I have a Warbird that needed a rehandle that I'm getting back from Matt which was also a match bat! There are so many bats in here that could be my match bats.
Damn @Chad! Planning on selling any old ones.
A fair amount needs to be shifted, keep an eye out haha.
Wow! Just interested in the heaviest and lightest in your collection. Most used and least used. Ones you would never part with and ones you would be happy to get rid of, also your favourite shapes and stickers.
The smell of linseed must be intense!
Thanks for sharing.
Lightest would have to be those old school Salix bats, around 2lb 4oz - 2lb 5oz. Heaviest is probably the B&S White Supreme at 3lb, but honestly, it feels a fair bit lighter.
Least used, there's a huge number of those, (It is absolutely sacrilegious to think that the Halestorm, my Monster H4L and my B&S White Supreme haven't been used, along with my Fifty50 Pro, Custom Pro etc.) and most used is probably the blank Millichamp and Hall Solution. (Not by me) The Salix Pod Players has seen a fair amount of use by my brother, not among the best bats I've had, but brother absolutely loved it. Was purchased from IJC back in 2012. Goes to show that it's whatever suits the batsman that's the most important!
The ones I wouldn't part with... If I had to pick 3, I probably won't part with the Salix Pod, L&W Reserve with outstanding grains, B&S Supreme match bat. Salix Pod in the hope that my brother will one day pick up cricket again, L&W Reserve because it was the bat I scored my first fifty with, and B&S because it's my current match bat. None of the monster bats in the hope that I'll play internationally. XD
In terms of favourite shapes, there are many. I am a fan of most shapes with not a huge amount of concaving, not too aggressive a duckbill or tapering towards the handle, and edges don't have to be HUGE. I do have a Trott shaped B3 in there, which looks pretty incredible!
@Chad, If I remember correctly, you had an M&H Master (ST inspired bat), didn't you? Still have it?
And @Chad, normally, I'd say that I hate you but this time around, I feel I have some nice bats too.
@InternalTraining nope, I've never had an M&H Master, I did have an Amplus at one point! I do have some Sachin inspired shapes, with this BDM 'The Game Edition' being the most special. Weighs around the 2lb 9.5oz mark:
I do like your new Chris Lynn bat, looks an absolute beast!
