Made my debut for the 2s team for the first time.

An injury has been sustained during not this Tuesday but the one before, my right hand is bruised to the bone from inside and out.

So we bowled first in the 40 over game. Bowled the team out for 48. While I was running from fine leg to fine leg in those 17 overs due to the injury.

Bowled one over and went for 1 run.

Chased the score in 5 overs.

EDIT: I did not bat. :(

We are finding it tough in the Lincs Premier League, lost our first 2 games and been hammered both games to boot.
Oppo got 268-3 and we got 110 chasing, ouch.
Personally I got 19 last week and 15 this week, so not great either.
I'm enjoying the challenge as its a big step up, we need to win pretty soon though.
The teas have been amazing both weeks too.

Drew again yesterday, so that's a loss and 2 draws. We posted 177 for 5 & oppo were very close 171 for 3. My lad scored 66, I'm officially retired.

Played my first T20 of the season.
Was originally chucked the ball because we had to find an over somewhere, picked up a wicket and ended up using up my quota.
4-1-12-3

Got absolutely peppered by short stuff and couldn't buy a run. Took a nasty one to the lid and was forced to retire for precautionary measures.
There was a bit of a collapse, I ended up returning with us needing 80 off the last 7 overs. Managed to reduce the equation to 18 off 12 before falling to an absolute jaffer that pitched middle and leg and hit the top of off. That was also the final wicket. Went from 2 from 11 (before I retired) to a very respectable 54 from 41. Thought I did quite well batting with the tail too.

Played today, back at my old club for one reason and another,
Bowled 10 overs for 39, considering my first over went for 16 I was pleased with how I tightened it up off my remaining 9, picked up 2 wickets in the process!
We were set 160, and proceeded to chase it in 18 overs

Played on a tiny pitch yesterday. We set the oppo 271 and couldn't quite get the last wicket. Had my boy acting as 12th man which was hilarious. He is only 6!
Lop sided score card...

@Buzz is being more than a little modest here! If any of you can be bothered to click on his link, you will see he scored the small matter of 162.

Well played mate.

Good knock @Buzz no details of 4's, 6's or balls though to delve deeper into it?

That just leads to more and more questions!

My parents are building a house, I had moved to play for Ketton/ Vitas cricket, the house build hasn't gone as scheduled, along with that im being made redundant come september, so rather than the added expense of travelling to play for the boys, i've gone back to the old club to save a few quid over the summer, and go back to them next season once the house move is complete

See, I was thinking clash of personalities, arguments! Kp style kit being thrown from the balcony.....

Sorry to here about the redundancy, I may well be in a similar position...... I'm dreading going back after a 26day holiday to find out if I have a job or not. Not gonna be fun.

Quite the opposite mate, great bunch of blokes over there and am really glad they understood my situation. Made it that little bit easier, never tough leaving a new club but they were top notch about it and looking forward to giving it a go next season with them!!

Last friendly today before the league starts next week. Glad to get all my sh#t performances out of the way!!  Following last week's 3rd ball duck, I scored 1 just trying to smash the leather off the ball. Then had a shocker with the keeping gloves, struggled with one bowler in particular, had it cutting in or away and I couldn't read it for toffee.  19 byes later and I was ready to go home!!!

Completely different story this week, gladly!!  Took 2 catches, 1 stumping, 1 run out to my name and helped out in another. Not a single bye either!!  Did bust both of my thumbs though so didn't  bat :(

I travel 17 miles for a home game even though there is a club in the village and the club I played as a junior is only 3 miles away. It's all about the people you play with, wouldn't want to play with anyone else

Got demolished yesterday, collapsed from 26/0 to 42/9 (all out). Duck on the second ball for me, and that's the second duck in two league games - both attempting a forward defensive. Fuming.

Felt good today bowled well and then went in to bat at
6 looked OK,
But missed a straight one after facing 4 overs of tripe
Really gutted but we were never going to win
