Got a fairly easy win first game of the season, against a premier league 2s side who've been moved down into our league following a restructure, think they were missing a few players too. Got put in, slow start from our openers to say the least but got going once our no4 got in, ended up 206-6 with me contributing 25 in a manner that @ProCricketer1982 would definitely not have approved of... Spot of rain lost 5 overs off the second innings but fortunately we bowled them out for 96 despite some mixed bowling.

Good start for me personaly, 74 not out, scored the winning runs, took a wicket and grabbed a couple of decent catches.

As a team we look terrible with the bat, 5 ducks this week after we were bowled out for 43 the week before, worrying signs already

No mate, I hear you totally destroyed us, 43 all out   :o I was playing a 1s and 3s club game as both our opponents scratched, first proper failure of the season, played round a straight one, plumb. Who were you playing for?

Worst we have ever batted, doesn't help that 2 people contributed 37 of the 43 and extras did all bar the remaining 2! A certain G Young in the crowd is never a benefit, can always rely on him to point out how bad we are

Day one of a two day game, nice 'breezy' 179* at stumps this evening after batting all day.. Hopefully skipper has no interest in winning and i get more batting tomorrow :)

Tons in consecutive days which is nice.

Had my first game of premier league cricket for a few years and my god it nearly killed me even though I had a TFC. Too old and fat for all this 60 odd over cricket in the field. Make things even worse, got roped into playing in National cup the following day. In to bat for last few balls and got stumped (made the most of it). Bowled for first time since August last year and it hurt even off a 3 pace run up.

God I miss the Winter break  ;)

Didn't recieved Saturdays the team sheet last night as normal just got back from the ground  today after 3 hours work getting everything prepared for Saturday   made a phone call to the chairman of selectors  who told me I've been dropped after opening the batting last Saturday for slow scoring but i was told by the captain not to get out and to protect the kids from facing the openers and the new ball told the chairman of selectors this his response was I should have used my own discretion re the score.
Also unlike others who are playing  ive  paid my subs .
Not a nice way to treat someone who gives his time on the commitee and works for the club

Beaten on Saturday down to some some poor batting on our part and good full straight bowling from the oppos. 205a.o. vs 135 a.o. Wielded the Kudos for 68 batting at Number 3. Being reduced to 16-4 after 8ovs was going to make a win an uphill struggle.

Move to a club which doesn't treat people like that. I really don't get why anyone would put up with it, you pay your money and time to play, not so some power mad people can 'select' you.

Look after number one, find a club where you are appreciated and leave them to do their square too.
