That's pro grade, so £550 right?

 Think I'd take that back and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Show them the drawback of such a sharp spine...

That's absolutely ridiculous, I was waving around a gorgeous MH09 the other day that for 280 looks a bargain, considering how much more wood was in it.

I am certainly no fan of concaving, from my experience of concaved bats. That said playing devils advocate, what is the difference between this form of extreme concaving and the gn scoop (which B Lara had no problem with amongst others) and the dinadrive, surely the scoops in those 2 bats act like extreme concaving.
Just a thought.

The spine's not much more either and the bit inbetween must only be what? 30ish mm? What a waste of time.

good point...i'm not going to pretend I know the answer because for the life of me I cannot see how a bat which basically has the weight taken out of the back and has massive edges can possibly help you hit the ball further.

I just can't get my head around it....if it goes off the edge it aint going that far !!  :)

Exactly my thoughts when I went to the Burnley store to check them out, ridiculous concaving. Mentioned on a thread somewhere else that a young lad that we coach, has recently got loads of M&H gear, second time he used his bat, a big chunk/splinter was coming off on the edge after a mis-timed shot. Due to the edge being so thin and sharp with all the concaving. It was ridiculous and bound to happen to other bats over and over again. They took it back, sent it to Taunton, glued it, and you could clearly see they'd reduced the size and sharpness of the edge, to hopefully prevent it happening again, although I'm sure it will

(disclaimer: intuitive rather than scientific explanation, I'm not doing the modelling on this!) The Dynadrive is a funny case where because all the mass is round the edges, it's quite well balanced across the blade which will actually help with off centre impacts. Normal concaving leaves the largest mass in the very middle of the bat which can act like a pivot for the big edges to move around, obviously not good. How this w shape would behave I'm not really sure! Possibly more like the Dynadrive as it's got a fair bit of mass directly at either edge, will definitely stress the blade in interesting ways though.

Dynadrive and Scoop were never marketed on edge size, though i do see where you are coming from @Bats_Galore

That is ridiculous and at that price I'd love to know the wood-per-pound sterling ratio - possibly lower than a full profile size 6 bat?  Maybe not, but you get my point...

As a slight aside our skipper has one of Chris Woakes' actual Oblivion bats from a few years ago (he's his FA); very, very concaved (though not as much as that!)
