Most consistent of all the big brands in my opinion. So your opinion then Sarge, are GN bats under pressed in certain areas because of the bowing?

I'd agree about consistency and have no issue with GN pressing. I also knocked 2 E41, 2 GN100, 2 F18, 1 Powerbow Gen X last season, that said the Aussie made ones are a class above the other in terms of press quality. That said I'm eyeing off the GN500 at $300. I'd have to see it in the flesh.

Not technically true in all cases. there are ways around it. Just depends if the bat maker has the means to do it and the want to do it. If he doesn't feel it's of benefit then why go to the lengths and the extra time to get it bowed as big as that

I think Laver are restricted by the size of the clefts that they buy from JS Wrights so the largest they can make is around a 42mm edge...

I only saw the sample and it was ok, there are always a couple of gems floating around though. I can't wait until our orders start coming through, it's like xmas for bat nerds, only 4 weeks to go.

Went and visited Cricket Warehouse Adelaide to buy some edge tape and pants and liked the XP 70 and new Powerbow shapes. Makes the F18 look meh! They had a stunning 50+ in the shop redwood on inside edge and about 9-10 grains. So distracted I walked out with the wrong size. I have my B3 glove voucher so I'm thinking what I can order. Job confirmed for three more years so treat is coming. Want the new sausage gloves anyway.

Pretty sure they made me a 50mm edged ultra a few years back, but that was a one off, they said at the time with pressing they would be max 45mm

Typically for this shape we would be looking at around 2.15, yes for a crown it can be lighter but how light obviously depends on the density of the willow. I would advise calling the office and speaking to Streaky about what crown willow there is at present and discuss the weight.

No not yet.

GN are not limited by what they get I guess due to them cutting and felling it to there size.
