So, like the new M& H bats.

AUS version big bats sound more chunkier.

The samples I saw were nothing like the M&H W-shaped bats.

Your description did sound similar to the M&H W's.

I am intrigued to say the least.

2lb10?! That is impressive, although what a shame the middle is so high - I know it's intended for Aussie tracks but imagine what could be achieved putting all that wood lower down the blade in a more conventional shape.

It was done a few seasons ago with the H4L Tempo and other bats.

I have to admit I spent more time drinking beer and talking cricket bats then tapping the bats.

Off my mallet the XP80 pinged quite well and sounded very good. The other bats I have are nearing completion so the XP80 better than the Kookaburra Pro 1500 but not as good as the Aldred Silver Sovereign I have in. It will be a much belter when knocked.

I remember tapping up the 50 plus I knocked in June and thinking my B3 3 stripe was better, but when knocking was completed it just hit the ceiling of my room every bounce where the B3 which was 6 oz lighter needed a bit of whip. Neither bat was played in.

The Aussie made GN bats I have had have all had a firm press that comes to life after oiling and knocking. It will be a cracker of a bat.
