Just spend a top afternoon with the b3 boys, generally just bothering 'em and talking about bats and life. So thanks to the lads there for putting up with me while I was at a loose end in Nottingham.
Honestly come away from this place more and more impressed each time I visit. They're obviously great at what they do but what impresses me is how open they are about it. As a kid I used to dream about visiting the place that made Michael Vaughan's bats and get one of my own, but it just didn't happen. But b3 allow, and actively encourage, you to come and poke around and to see the journey from cleft to bat is very interesting - to see these guys at work is something else.
I know people here have their allegiances to H4L etc but I've come away questioning again why people pay big bucks for an
SG-made Kook [
] rather than a custom, made in England bat from one of many on this forum.
Anyway, that's a debate that'll run and run - just wanted to wax lyrical about my afternoon to a bunch of bat nerds who will understand!
