Does anyone know what the hell is the deal with the balls used for tests in the West Indies ? Last year when watching the oz tour there I heard they are Dukes , but a second rate or different Dukes to that used in England . These balls just leave such vividly red cherries on the bats it's ridiculous. Players must need a lot of white spirit on windies tours . Otherwise they'd leave the Caribbean, arrive in another country on a new tour , pull out a red stained bat and have the opposition sledge them with 'hey it'll be tough going , you're not batting against the Windies anymore' etc . Just seems a bit weird , but I'll leave it at that , otherwise I'll start a rant about how all tests in all countries should be played with the same ball (and not a Kookaburra) .
