At the age of 21 I am returning to the wonderful sport that is cricket after a 4 year hiatus. I was a county player in my early teen years and for some reason i just lost interest.
Anyway, on to the subject. I am a very small adult, 5'4 (165) to be exact and I'm looking for a bat that although being the right length for me is also heavier than your typical junior bat with a huge middle (I'm not familiar with how different weights feel but from what other people use I'm thinking around the 2lb6/7oz mark). Do big companies such as GN, Kookaburra, Puma etc. make these types of bats or would it be best to go to a custom bat maker who can make a bat to my needs? (Although the price may then be an issue).
There are some junior bats on sale at the moment that are so tempting but im not sure if they would suit what im looking for! In particular this Puma evoPower 1 SE...
