Spoilsport! Just as we were revving up to another forum falling out, I was anticipating at least 3 pages culminating in some good personal insults   :)

Ha Ha..., keyword warriors at 20 paces.

In saying my bit I'm trying to help. With someone having so many questions I'm suggesting visiting a localish workshop.

For custom bats and copies I always feel going to see the bat maker is best as some clefts just won't accommodate the profile in that weight etc etc and if they do not have suitable willow at least you are there and are able to then talk through any compromises that you may have to make as well as allowing you to see any potential prices of wood that will be used and you having your choice on what pieces to use

Thanks for all the advice

1st stage of getting bats sorted for pre season sorted, sending current MH Harlequin to B3 to repair.

Have 4/5 companies in mind to make the copy atm, will narrow it down soon

This seasons match bat (MH Harlequin) back from B3,
returned within a wk repaired and MOT'd
great service

looks like new, apart from slight signs of repaired area

proof is in the pudding tho and hopefully it will stand the test of time.

Next to sort out a new one, try a few bats soon so im sure on the profile.

thanks for everyones help todate

Wouldn't getting b3 to copy it while it was there have been an option ?

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.
