I'll get the missus to bake something different if you're bringing so many brownies.

So will there be a trade stand as well as a food stand? :)

Thinking of bringing some bits along

Sounds like Sunday will be a bit like 'swap shop'.

Would it make sense to have some structure around this with a separate - what are you bringing to sell thread? otherwise we could have kit strewn everywhere with no one having any idea what they can take away with them.

@petehosk as an admin any ideas on how we could do this without contravening forum rules and requiring lots of individual posts - I was thinking maybe people listing in a special thread what they may be up for selling with a ballpark price, possibly only viewable by those going to the net?

I’m there to bowl. There’s not an item of kit out there that can tempt me!

No - it is first and foremost a net, not a swap meet.
But as we do these regularly, they do often turn out to include some swaps and some cash changing hands.
And often people who wanted to sell kit do not. Whilst people who have no intention of selling or swapping end up doing just that!

The first rule of Net Club is: You do not talk about Net Club. The second rule of Net Club is: You DO NOT TALK ABOUT NET CLUB! Third rule of Net Club: Someone yells it's not for swaps, goes limp, starts crying, the swap is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to a swap.

Seriously, there is normally lots of time to admire willow! Some willow will obviously be there to stroke but not use and not sell or swap.
And there is always kit available to buy and swap! So lets keep some mystery for Sunday!

@WalkingWicket37 at one of the early nets:

‘Hello mate, I came here to hopefully offload 5 bats, sold none but bought 6 and a pro sized coffin to take them home in’

Priceless  :)

Excuse number 34.

I have actually done my back in. I'm trying to get fit enough so I can at least carry the cricket gear from the car to the nets.
