Now i'm going to throw this theory out there, but by looking at these, they won't look like the usual 'shade' of willow you'd get from a standard shop (indian made) and the quality (just visually) of willow doesnt remind me of a robertsbridge bat.
Please correct me if i'm wrong, it's only a theory
I think when it comes to this sort of bat, 'quality' of willow does go out the window a bit if you are talking about grain structure. Many of the Warner Replica, 50+ and XP80 bats from Aus have not been particularly good looking. The priority here is the size of bat at reasonably sensible weights.
The 2 bats above are from our reps trade show samples, and so are likely to have been UK made. They have sustained minor scuffs, dinks etc so probably aren't looking their best.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by shade of willow relating to where its made. The main thing that governs the colour of a bat is the wood itself, various finishing compounds also have an effect.
The Pro Perfromance i'm hoping isn't typical of the sort of looks we will have when it comes to our stock bats. But as its mine all i'm worried about is the weight/pickup and performance, both superb.
