Well - lets face it, if he was that bad, the IPL wouldn't have been interested!!

Its not a surprise that someone wants him! The biggest surprise is that the likes of Alfridi has been overlooked!

yh true, wouldv'e thought Afridi and Gul wouldv'e definately got a spot with there performances in world t20. perhaps a little bit of the india-pakistand rivalry had the indians flexing there muscles by not picking them. shame though. looking at the squads who you think will win it this year?

Remember Lumb hitting 120 odd in a 20/20 against Essex last season think that may have helped his cause!

I know Pete no Pakistan players were picked! Politics??

Yeh - I thought he would be pushing for a place in England.

And it was certainly politics! Pakistan have got 3 or 4 very high class players. And they must have had their noses put out of joint!
It would be the same if Wales, Scotland or France ran the IPL - there would be no English players!!!

Yeah i think both Carberry and Lumb are easy on the eye and are similar players to Eoin Morgan who has also been signed up by Rajistan Royals. all 3 are england players of the future i think

Definately CD, be interesting to see what opportunity they get but be a hell of an experience and it can't do English cricket any harm being exposed to that quality of cricketer. I can't wait to see Damien Martyn play again, one of favourite players of all time so id like to thank Warney for making a ridiculous buy just to help a mate out.
