South West March nets
« on: February 11, 2017, 01:33:36 PM »

Hello gents, after we had a small net last winter and another impromptu one this week it seems there's plenty of us in agreement that a bigger southwest forum net would be a good plan. SO - I propose a 2/3 hour net sometime in March, say the weekends 11/12th or 18/19th? Could also do a weeknight around the same time if the consensus goes that way. For venue, I'll suggest either the Gloucestershire ground we've used previously, Merchant's Academy in South Bristol, or Warminster which has been mentioned on here before - @DorsetDan did you ever net there?

Anyone is welcome who I'll either miss tagging or indeed who doesn't live in the southwest but wants to come along anyway!

Count me in mate, I've not heard of Merchants before, that could be a decent option especially if we are having one lane bowling one lane machine.

Sounds good to me.

My gentle off breaks can get everyone into form before the season starts!!!

Can bring big son too if you fancy some quicker stuff, but he considers all bats are the same & that looking at pictures of strangers willow is a bit "weird"

Watching this. I'm in Taunton, if others are from the area and fancy sharing a lift etc, I may be in. I play hockey most Saturdays, but I think I will be done by then.

Yep count me in! Warminster works best for me personally but can probably do any of the above.

@DorsetDan - Warminster ey? Might be seeing you on the field at some point in the season then!

Shaping up well by the looks of things! Subject to change let's pencil it in for the 11th-12th weekend if that suits everyone?

8 people interested so far so two nets, one with bowling machine would probably work well if the numbers are around that, so Merchant's or Warminster are probably the best bet due to easy bowling machine availability. I'm open to either, does it make a big difference for the Somerset members' driving time? Merchant's is here https://goo.gl/maps/UeGRYPD1vKt

Right then, I've got club nets afternoon of the 12th as I'm guessing others will too, so 12th AM or 11th early PM.
