Would liked to have seen Livingstone get a game vs Ireland though, he seems absolutely unstoppable at the moment! Pick them when in form and all that.

Just another note on this...

ICC released more tickets to all venues (Including the final at The Oval) on their website today.

I have spare tickets for Oz vs NZ and SA vs SL available at face value if anyone fancies going to those games.

2/6 and 3/6 I think.

Could be far more tickets available if India pull out. They're trying to hold the ICC ransom

yes...very interesting stuff going on as the ICC are reversing the disgraceful deal between the big '3' that effectively made 3 rich groups(of which England are in, and helped cut the pie up to feather their own nest) and to hell with the other test playing nations

things are certainly changing, the BCCI is used to running roughshod over the ICC-no more it seems.

The ICC should call India's bluff. no one will watch unless their stars are playing International class opposition.

We can hold the tournament without India - we really can

Finally got round to watching "Death of a Gentleman" the other day, fascinating insight into the BCCI/ECB/CA  and their relationship with the ICC amongst other things. Does not paint Giles Clarke in a good light haha!

same dude who landed a million pounds in a helicopter at Lords with Stanford without asking any questions if he was legit.Pound signs passed for any checks and balances.

the ECB got their money, but at what cost to the credibility of the game? im sure some will say 'that's business'

India's the main attraction in terms of revenue and sponsorship. Without them any major event makes diddly profit. Just look at the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean, India bombed out early and the Windies made nowt from the tournament

Shows how good the ICC are at organising a tournament if that's true. What did they do, not sell the TV rights for the second round until the first round was complete?

well it's 2017 now and if India don't come here do you really believe the whole tournament will turn out to be a loss making excercise.

Yes they have a lot of fans...so do a lot of other Countries.

Someone has to call India's bluff. The ICC have finally done the right thing reversing the India/England/Australia cash cow rights/tours and India don't like it.

far as I'm concerned as an England fans it's the ECB's responsibility to spread cricket and tour Bangladesh for example.

consecutive tours and matches between the 'big 3' had to be broken up.

There's no bluff to call the majority of the ICCs big sponsors are Indian. Coupled with the Indian tv rights. No India means no money. That's the fact of the matter.

And TBH India create the majority of India the revenue so imo they should get more of the money

ive got tickets for 2 India matches(my friend is an Indian fan). If that's the case and the ICC don't budge India wont be coming.

in which case we will find out. If India don't come here I wont be shedding any tears, and the tournament will still be a success.

If India and their TV companies stuck to covering domestic cricket and just the IPL they would soon be begging to come back in.

The problem with India and a lot of Indian fans is they think they are bigger than the game. For too long England and other have bowed down to them

India should pull out of the tournament. I hope they do.

That's the issue, Indian cricket has 10 x the following of other nations (that is a guess by the way, not backed up by facts haha) and therefore will always hold the aces when it comes to negotiating power.
