That seems quite ridiculous. ...is bt sport part of a sky subscription or would you be forced to pay for yet another service ?

BT would flip it the other way and say you don't have to have sky to subscribe to BT.

You can get it through Sky at at extra cost, or you can have BT on its own. If BT were to win all cricket i would cancel my sky sports subscription as i dont really watch football anymore and i'd rather watch paint dry than watch F1

absolutely, I only have Sky for the cricket and thinking of dumping the whole thing and tracking on BBC.

I don't see a situation thou where BT sport has all cricket coverage.....just don't think that will happen in the future

yes it's a real pain. it's very much a Sky/Murdoch dominated environment.

it's harmed cricket in this Country, in my opinion. We are now seeing just how much exclusive TV rights has damaged the game at grass roots.

viewing figures for cricket have been going down, and continue to do so. That is an undisputed fact

a sad one actually.

I think the ECB are hoping they will go for it to drive the price up as realistically i cant see it going much higher than it already is worth.

My mate has BT so i watch on the iPad with his login currently. I think i'll get a device such as an Apple TV to put it on the big screen for the ashes

Is anyone a baseball fan? No? Just me?

Well anyway, I pay roughly £80 per year for the At Bat subscription. You can watch every major league baseball game (there are quite a few as each team plays just short of 200 from spring training onwards) live, as live, condensed or highlights. It also has loads of other good features like ball tracking (hawkeye) etc. It works on your phone, laptop, apple tv and amazon fire stick.

I'm not trying to advertise it at all. Just think though, if you could do that with cricket.

Last time I heard, the ECB were sat on a big pile of money. Why do they suddenly need to triple the cost to the broadcasters?

Oh yeah.

Me to! Not seen this but seems like a good idea especially for cricket
