First game of the season, scored the winning runs... and damaged my ACL and MCL.
Saw a specialist today and says at least a month out. Devastated.

Bad start to my 2017 season. not been picked for the first game, because I am in Nottingham overnight and can not guarantee I will be back in time for the game. Which is understandable. Then I have the next two weeks off due to Artweek Exhibition.
However I have put my name down for this weeks player pool, but no response yet.

Its football training for  cricket fittness  for me this saturday as  no cricket  due  to the division    losing a team offered a match with another club but would be in breech of league rules without a transfer.

Following yesterday I've volunteered to give keeping a go, LOL. RIP my hands.

I got roped in to do some emergency keeping last season and it's not actually that bad. First of all, you don't have to run anywhere which is flipping brilliant. The most stressful part was trying to work out where to stand for the different bowlers

Pah!!! My game called off for Saturday already!!  Nuts!

Played my first game for Uni yesterday, away to Leeds Trinity, lost by 100-odd runs.

Bowled first on a green wicket, had them all out for 230-ish inside 46 overs. Took 2-58 off my 7 overs. Disappointing to have also had 2 dropped catches and a plumb LBW turned down. Was bought on to tempt their lad on 70-odd to do something stupid, which he did as he came down the wicket and was stumped. It was only my second game of ever bowling off-spin and i'm still dragging it too short too often, but i suppose that'll come with time! I also feel i should have asked to have 2 out on the legside boundary rather than 1. I took a very nice catch where i had to watch it over my shoulder for about 20 yards before diving full stretch to take it a few inches above the floor.

We never looked like chasing it down as we went from 40-1 to 80-6, and as a number 11, lasted three balls for 0 to finish it off.
