Clubs First league game tomorrow after two cup wins and we can put  eleven players on the pitch but the grounds man  hasn't been able to prepare the pitch due to two days of rain  on Wednesday  and Thurs  it's still pouring down today and there's a thunderstorm predicted for Woresteshire around 2pm tomorrow.

Hoping so! Our covers have been on overnight and it's a dryish start to the today. Heavy rain forecast at 4pm though - if it does get rained off hopefully we can get a few extra points before the heavens open.

On a personal note - got my first 50 (not out) of the season midweek which was good for my confidence. Ive been getting starts 32, 28, 11* so it was good to get past that first barrier. Now need to take that into a Saturday and get some bigger runs.

I hate these sort of days, playing knowing that major rain is coming if you bat 1st you pretty much have no chance of winning, just got to make sure you don't get skittled. And somewhere in the league there will be someone who does exactly that and gives a side full points etc...

We've been called off already. I suspect the opposition are struggling to get a side. To be honest I'm not bothered, it's better than travelling for an hour, then sitting round for 2 hours waiting for the rain to stop, then travelling an hour back.

Currently gone off for rain after 1 over, the opposition lost 2 wickets in the first two balls and are 1/2.

We got 23 overs in and had opposition 65-5 but the rain came and that was it. I did a get an over although the batsman probably had an eye on the weather along with his batting average so I returned figures 1-1-0-0. Typically now a gorgeous evening in York.

We were rained off, but did really well.

Lost the toss on a really green wicket but batting brilliantly, i unfortunately managed to play on via my leg and boot for 10. But my opening partner scored a brilliant 120 NO and we were 234-2 off 34 overs when the heavens opened.

Having said that I'm in Ibiza on holiday and its been roasting today :-). Home tomorrow though... really hoping to get selected for next week.

Got absolutely shafted by Taplow today. Rained before toss, which we lost and batted. 56/5 off 26 at drinks, which became 63ao inside 30... Wicket suited the opener perfectly, he got 9/27 from 14.4, I was the only wicket not to fall to him. Second baller for me, ball nipped back and hit me below the knee on back pad right in front, I knew I was a gonner before our ump raised his finger faster than I've ever seen! Got three wickets total as they chased us down, personally 6.2-1-18-1, opener nicking to slip. 12 of the runs came from the final ball of my 6th over and the first two of the seventh which ruined my figures somewhat! Felt like the ball was coming out really nicely which was a bonus.

Couple of weeks off for me coming up due to GB and other Frisbee commitments, but at least I bowled well today.

First game for my new club. Reduced to 35 overs, spent most of them watching @Northern monkey dispatch the ball to all parts, a fine innings, he was unlucky not to get a ton. Did manage to get a bat at the end of the innings, scratched 25 not out.
We got 168 all out. then it rained and rained and rained.
