Played less matches than any other team this season  but still went into Saturday's match as division winners with the most  wins having only lost once all season scored 243 for 3  to win chasing for the loss of 3 wickets but could only put  nine guys on the pitch.
With the  league now over on Saturday  its  the league cup quarter final at home hope we can Give ourselves the best chance of winning  by getting 11 guys on the pitch as a couple are on holiday if we win its the semi final at home the following week and the final at Worcesters county ground.

Won Saturday, scraped past the oppo. Had them 5-4 off 7 overs and they eventually got to 130. Odd thing was their best bats by a distance were 10 and 11, who put on 40 odd for the last wicket. We batted badly on a slow but blameless wicket and were 85-7 until we crawled over the line 8 down.

Sunday was a bit of a farce. We had 8 players and the oppo lent us 3 players. Which was kind of them to get the game on. Nice venue and good teas. We got 190 ao in 40 overs. We made sure everyone got a game to the extent our bucks player batted 8 and let the 60/70 year olds bat. What became apparent after tea was the oppo had no intention of giving anybody but their 1st teamers a game. One guy who opened the bowling for them opened the batting and smacked 50 in 8 overs, and he doesn't even play at the club! The rest of the batsman were the 1st team top order. They ran 4s to old men and helped themselves to 50s winning inside 24 overs. Basically it was a net for their 1st teamers, no interest in giving their youngsters a bat. Had we known we would of changed our batting  order, taken it seriously and spanked up 250+. Saving grace was at least we batted first and everyone had a game.

Not having played for 3 weeks went for a net after being whacked on the nose by the helmet face guard wanted to try out my new tight fitting helmet and grill  also wanted to find out what if I was going to bottle it against the short stuff
The first bouncer flew up at  me went for the hook realised it was to full and straight got into a tangle and  got hit on the shoulder  now have a stiff shoulder and a nice bruise.

Away game in Portsmouth today, the weekend of Victorious festival, so traffic will be stacked.

We're meant to be meeting at their ground at 12, my lift called to say he was 5 minutes away about 10 minutes ago... I love cricket

First baller ended a season I'm happy to draw a line under, way to many personal distractions and being handed the captaincy when our reg skipper has had to step down has meant way too much hassle, and not enough focusing on my game. My worst season for runs and batting average for five years.

Also awaiting a response to my complaint aboit last week's team, wbich has been escalated to the county board. All in all happy to see an end to 2017!

10 wicket win following a 9 wicket win last week. Frustrating that the captain has a bowl first policy when batting first would give more people a game. Done by 3:45 this afternoon. Two frustrating Saturdays in a row. Still top of the table though and a win next week in our final game gives us promotion.

We lost today, and I dropped a catch at cover  and am not sure if I broke my thumb in the process

I hate cricket  :(

Avoided relegation today, needed just a single point to stay up and despite a loss we took 9 bonus points from the game which has made us safe with one game to go.  Bowled first and they got 166-9 off their 40 and we got bowled out for 122 in the 38th over, not a bad effort considering it was a first team game and only had about 5 or 6 actual first teamers. I got 42 and the next top scorer had 19 so if someone else had managed to get in we could have won but no one else managed to settle on that pitch which was a shame but we stayed up which is the most important thing.

Easy win

Oppo made 184 all out in 44 overs. 2 lads got fifties and extras made 40!

We knocked it off in just 26 overs.
My good form Continued. 63 of 32balls opening up.

2 games left, we are second 8 points behind top and play them next week. 25 points available.  Will beawinner takes the title game!

Thrashed. I had a good day out with a not out, catch and most economic bowler (bowling seam for the first time in nearly 3 months) easy game really.

Asked the oppo openers if they'd please mind not running right down the middle of the pitch, got called a c*nt and squared up to, then shoulder barged next ball! I took two wickets in my next over, same batsman then hit one straight to a fielder and ran himself out, giving his partner a volley of abuse on his way off, apparently followed by a punch-up in the changing rooms... Bizarre, the rest of them seemed a nice bunch. Skittled them for 81, changed the order to give people a game, easy win, all good. 2-15 from 8 for me and relegation avoided for our 2s, day ended much better than it started!

A couple of weeks ago we were 4th, but only nine points off the top. Won last week, and top beat 3rd so we went third. Yesterday we beat 2nd by 126 runs in a great team effort, everyone made double digits. I was asked to open after struggling all season and batting 8/9, scored 18 in an opening partnership of 60. Best news came after the game, league leaders lost badly, so we've gone top!
