Ireland Vs. England
« on: May 05, 2017, 11:56:52 AM »

Ireland 109-8 - bit of a waste of time this one. Ireland appear to be getting worse year by year.

Not the practice england would have wanted

To be fair I think 3 ODIs against South Africa is more than e ough practice.

Joe Root and his lovely golden arm

I'm going on Sunday, hoping for a better score from Ireland than that!

might be wrong but think they are about to get test status, or at least closer than they have ever been

not watching but tracking it on BBC text

good to see Mark Wood back-it really is. Time will tell if his injuries hold up for the whole summer. Could be a weapon for the ICC tournament.

all out 5fer for Rashid..

I see the Ireland captain saying Eoin would be welcomed back to play test cricket for Ireland...mixed feelings about this myself, they are about to get test status, Morgan will not play tests for England.....

hmmmmmm......Morgan is very Irish, it's his Country/ It would be odd for our one day captain to play test cricket for another Country.

perhaps a discussion for another day  :)

I think myself Ireland were stronger 5 years ago-some of the same playing now as back then

I think that's a discussion for another day.

It seems wishful thinking at best from Porterfield to bat first....

As the home nation and given the current side England have, they will be favourites, right? what are the bookies saying?

At 2/80 i thought Ireland were looking pretty good,
Rashid bowled well, looked like they had zero plan or idea to pick him
Amazing no one can pick him with a white ball, stick a red ball in his hand and he is fodder

Yup England are the favourites. Betting is fairly close though between us Australia and South Africa.
