A firing Morgan makes this England batting line up look so much more potent and secure! If he continues to get decent runs in the middle order then I think we have a very good chance of winning the tournament.

morgan is all or nothing but when it's 'all' he gets tons and they win games.

he was bigging up Ali after the game it's clear he is playing regardless. It was a superb knock by Mo thou yesterday

Im lucky enough to have tickets for the final and at the moment i'm expecting England to be there  :)

Me? And have faith!! They stand the best chance they have had for years and if Morgan is right and this is he best odi team he's played in, (which includes a World Cup winning squad) then we have a damn good chance!

Ah, different Alex, but by all means, happy to hear your Klaxon!  :D

as you were watching you will have seen Mr Woakes get that well renowned tailender Quinton De Kock out too, must be terrible and dropped instantly!

The ball went so high in the air that wicket should have been credited solely to Butler  :D

Stat Attack:

England's 339 yesterday was our 20th score over 300 since the 2015 World Cup.

8 more than SA in 2nd.

Would be interesting to know how many 300+ scores were made before this. Wouldn't be surprised if it was about the same or not much more than 20!

There might be a couple missing from here as it stops at a score of 302 but just taking this list there have been 31 scores of over 300 before the World Cup I think

Think playing on better pitches (roads) as opposed to the green tops Anderson use to ask for has also helped

it might well do, but it's only a couple of years ago we were miles behind how other countries played one day cricket as well. bayliss morgan have changed that, and the players of course.

it was years back I remember a WC jayasuriya gong for it from ball one

I think that was against us as well.  :)

ok lads...we know Stokes playing means we can play Ali......and im not saying Ali only plays when he does but Morgan pretty much said it on interview

now...stokes looks to be out of the next match

we don't have a class all rounder (who didn't play) to replace him so where so the selectors go?

a bowler(ball), or jonny bairstow .....

now this could be interesting selection  :)

Bairstow win the toss   bat first  and score  big runs take he game away from SA

Your right Alex Mr Woakes did get one proper batsman out that said all the SA batters looked as if they were feeling the scoreboard pressure...

that's the way I would go this time. England in the past have looked to fill positions rather than players...gawd knows how many times we played an allrounder after Both, in truth none were up to scratch

Stokes is world class, if we don't have anyone close to him, it's got to be a specialist

It's not the England way though to bowl second  and pressure teams  with there fielding they prefer under Morgan to bat second and pace themselves in a run chase.
