Cancelled the order. Ajit did ask me again if I want it otherwise he'll give it away to someone else, I said no.
Not comfortable with going for it.
Could easily be a con for all I know. I think the toe has to be rougher. Seen that with all pro bats.
Plus, I have a Steve Smith bat coming soon towards me so taking the risk for what COULD be a Watson would be extremely silly.
The comments on this thread have really helped, even if they were as sceptical as expected!
To be honest, if you have Steve Smith bat coming and already have a couple of other pro bats, then you are best not to take the risk on the OLS bat!
For a retailer to get hold of genuine pro bats and actually sell them on is pretty rare! As VKS said, he would keep it himself if he did get one!!
Think of it logically and if you were a retailer and got a very special pro bat which was fantastic and a rare find, then would you :
1. Sell it on to a person you do not know for only the same or a tiny bit more than you would sell a standard bat?
2. Sell it on to one of your good mates?
3. Keep it for yourself as it is a rare thing?
For me it would have to be option 2 or 3! I wouldn't sell a mega special bat on to someone I didn't know who may not even fully appreciate it! You would always want to keep it yourself or watch a good friend or relative use and appreciate it, surely?
That is my thinking anyway.
So I think you have made the right choice by being unsure of the bat fella!
