and tell me who are zimbabwe class players they have not 1

Ireland are up with the likes of Zimbabwe just think a 2 tire system would be benifical to cricket

I'm pretty sure having been with the Irish squad last year that they would be more than capable of taking on Zimbabwe, plus the advantage of being given Test match status would stop the drain of the top talent into England, Eoin Morgan being one of the latest to swap sides. If the rule to joining a group is being able to beat members of that group straight away then it's a closed shop for all and Afghanistan have proved how quickly a side can improve.

Rubbish. Zimbabwe's current pool of youngsters is very promising(players like Cremer, Masakadza, Kyle Jarvis(a rapid pace bowler) etc). More importantly, for Zimbabwe, their rebel players have returned to play in Zimbabwe.

Guys like Tatenda Taibu, Sean Ervine, Andy Blignaut and Ray Price are a damn sight better than anything Ireland have.

Third point, guys like Heath Streak and Grant Flower have joined Zimbabwe's coaching team, they are proven player

So if the ICC offer an amnesty to all of Ireland's ex cricketers who have played for england (which i imagine they would), and they get joyce and morgan back, there's 2 players who are better than anything zimbabwe have. secondly, zimbabwe's domestic scene is atrocious, there are a lot of players playing there who are little better than club standard! a lot of ireland's players play in the english domestic scene, which is very strong. thirdly, the o'briens, boyd rankin, peter connell, etc are all at least as good as those zimbabwe players that you have mentioned, if not better.

Naill O'Brien isn't half the player Tatenda Taibu is. Taibu is world class.

Barring the O'Brien's, Wilson and Rankin none of the rest would get a look in at most counties.

You will have to explain to me why Ireland have done so well recently then since Zimbabwe are far better yet have done nothing except be destroyed by the Government.

I'd like to see you playing for Zimbabwe and averaging 50+

Just to point out, I'm not saying Taibu averages 50

I'm thinking more of their record in reaching and progressing in the One Day World Cup and running England close recently. I have a lot of Zimbabwean friends and they will be the first to conform that the state of cricket in the country is near finished. The top talent from the country has moved around the world and has tried to qualify for domestic cricket in England, Australia and New Zealand. They will be unlikely to ever regain their former glories.

What you crying for? You stated that you don't rate Taibu. I merely said, 'I'd like to see you averaging 50 in F/C cricket. Tongue in cheek comment. Jeez...

Mike, if Zimbabwe's F/C cricket was finished, then why are the ZC investing money in grass roots cricket?

Also, why are English players playing in the Zimbabwean domestic T20 tournament? ZC must be doing something to attract these players. These aren't England's top players, youngsters like Rayner from Sussex

I think that the current changes are great but they hardly have concrete foundations, lets hope it gets better.
