Yeah i already feel its very responsive . Could maybe need a tad more knocking/oil than my usual prep , and as Aussiecollector said , when then grains open up it will improve further and it should feel softer . But even atm it is pingy af ..... its just that it wasnt a few hours ago when i first got it. I dunno , maybe she was stressed out from the travel to sydney from perth , maybe the courier manhandled her or something ,but she's relaxed now and she feels great  :) ( but it's like it felt like a dud, then 10-20 minutes later it felt great. Like i mentioned -weirdest first impression from a bat ever) .

We’re going to Scotland on Friday night to see our friend who’s back from Aus, I’ll see mine then! Thought we’d have seen her last weekend gone when she was closer but unfortunately didn’t! Whilst the wife and her are getting emotional about how much they’ve missed each other I’ll be checking out the willow  :D

Do you like the handle, it felt very skinny to me..... I had the opportunity to see one of CBF members XXX couple of weeks back. Response, pickup, and size for the weight was top knotch but handle seemed skinny

Skinniest handle ive ever seen on a bat , but i like skinny handles . Its a lovely shape but i can see anyone who needs a medium-thick handle not being impressed and adding more medical tape or a second grip to the handle to thicken it up a bit.

I’ve finally got the XXX11, first impressions are that it’s a big bat for weighing just over 2.9. I went for the Players grade and it looks good for grade 2. Very thin handle, probably the thinnest I’ve had on a bat. It’s got 45mm edges and a spine of just over 70mm. It certainly doesn’t pick up like a feather which I like as I prefer a heavier bat. I’ve only bounced a ball on it but the response of it is very good.

Once I’ve read the thread on adding pictures I’ll put some up

Hmm...that's interesting. It has been a while since I saw my friend's 2-8 XXX-11. I don't remember the bow situation. I will ask him. :)

The width was mentioned in the original for sale post... http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=42566.0 . With it being mostly middle, I never thought it was a problem.

The 'ouch' was for that it's no longer mine.
