My knees are a work in progress but ill find out his offseason if ill ever be able to play a front foot shot ever again....or if i need to totally overhaul my technique.

I kill some gloves due to profuse sweat, but i rip gloves in all sorts of strange places . I use smallish gloves for my hand size but used to kill as many pairs wearing larger gloves so that cant be it .I rip holes in the fingers ,the bit where tbe thumb meets the hand , the palm etc. I rip the wristband off the connecting leather ....you name a way to kill gloves and i manage to do it .

I really do try tolook after all my kit and have a kit ocd reputation at my club , so its not like I'm rough with my gloves and mistreat them .

I have given up trying to fix the problem so just bought a shedload of gloves .

I guess it's a good excuse to have a lovely glove stock!

I find the GN Prestige gloves very comfortable. They are slightly smaller than some other Mens size gloves, but not unduly small. My hands are perhaps slightly larger than average, but I still find them fine.
The protection is good enough for Alastair Cook.

They offer excellent value for money, which is not something we can always say about products from the big sponsoring companies.

I don’t get how anyone needs more than 1-2 pairs of gloves a season?

Hot day, don't wear inners, open the batting, still in at drinks. Fresh gloves is bliss. That's 2 pairs needed.
Many other pairs are needed because you are always looking for the pair that make it feel as though you're not wearing any gloves at all.

That's how it starts.

You'll be knee-deep in bats before you know it.

I always try and keep 3, one net set which is the season befores match pair and is also used in any friendlies/ t20. One match set which starts off brand new and a spare set just incase the stitching goes on a pair or i do actually bat for a couple of hours. Always use the Salix Pod range and get the discount on pro direct for buying multiples.

I can see how people can get hooked on buying bats... but gloves? Gloves are boring and functional. They're there to stop you getting broken fingers. Just buy the cheapest ones you can find that do the job. I have been playing league cricket for 20 years and in that time I have owned 2 pairs of gloves.

@SLA this really isn't the forum for those kind of negative attitudes! :D

As for just buying the cheapest ones that's just daft. You have to pay a premium to get "Test level" protection, just in case the opposition have a 90+MPH bowler playing in their 4th XI...  ;)

gloves are very important, wouldn't advise anyone to buy the cheapest ones unless there were my worst enemy

top end gloves provide the best protection and if you have ever faced anyone quick you will know those old green pimple style ones were as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike
