Interesting list - Notts and Hampshire again the biggest pilferers and Kent seemingly this year's Durham with three of their main talents up for grabs.

For Yorkshire...

Well, the rumour going around toward the end of the season was that Darryl Mitchell was coming over from Worcestershire, but that has seemingly been quashed by the club.  I think with eh weight of England calls, we probably need two more bodies plus an Overseas.  A top order bat, some competition in the middle order, and a quality finger spinner.  If someone offered me Bell-Drummond, Shaun Marsh on a Kolpak and (cannot believe I've changed my mind so much about the guy) Nathan Lyon I'd back us to win the Championship.

Never mind that. Is Freddie van den Bergh getting another contract?

Would expect so - the Surrey members were very impressed with his bowling against us on an absolute shirtfront at the Oval.

well, yes.  Whether they'll keep him I don't know - I thought he looked a decent bowler, but they do also have Amar Virdi who is highly thought of.

ive heard the same but with clarke having only one year left on his contract i think he will be leaving at the end of next season rather then this winter.

mick cadmore has just followed his son to yorkshire and will be the dressing room attendant next season

Why is a left-arm spinner seen as exactly the same as a right-arm spinner to people on here?

I don't see them as the same, I merely wonder how many young spinners Surrey - who also have Batty seemingly intent on playing forever and Borthwick in their First XI - might want.

Anyone heard anymore about the Morkel to Warwickshire rumour?

I'd heard about Coles to Essex, but really can't see the need with Porter, Walter, Beard, Cook, Harmer, Bopara, Tendo & A.N. Other overseas Bowler.

Much truth in the Mo Ali to Warks / Hants rumours?

Morkel has been sniffing around a Kolpak move all year - I don't think he is feeling the love in South Africa, and I know there were rumours that he was worried that his body would not hold out for much longer.  The line at the time was that Surrey, Warwickshire and Notts had all asked to be kept appraised.

Coles is decent, you can see why Essex would take a punt.  Porter has a stress fracture, Ravi and Tendo are batsmen who bowl a few overs and there are always issues around overseas signings availability.

Not on the playing front, but I am pleased to see Nixon appointed as Leicestershire coach. He has deep links with the county and seemed to be a strong mentor during his playing days. Hopefully, he will instil the right sort of steel (ie taking the players along with his attitude, rather than pulling away from them in a different, confrontational way).
